We are facing a crisis at Guantanamo: can you spare a moment to call your two Senators now?

The Senate is expected to vote in early September on legislation — the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 (S. 1253) — that includes provisions that would keep Guantanamo open indefinitely.

The House of Representatives has already passed this legislation. We need you to call your two Senators right now and urge them to take a stand against Guantanamo.

This isn’t just about the human rights of detainees — it’s also about upholding our own rights to due process of law, to fair trials and to freedom from torture.
