IRSHAD THOUGHTS: Traditions on Women

Women are the partners of men in the process of building life.  For each, there are rights, and on each, there are responsibilites.  The doors of life are wide open for the most qualified and the leadership in life is provided for the most deserving, regardless of gender, inclusive to that: religious authority, religious juristship, political leadership, or other leadership positions in society and in religion.

Thus, all rules and Islamic traditions mentioned in the books of Hadeeth [islamic traditions] which mentions women with a derogatory or depreciatory remark, fall infront of the word of God that say: “And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable” [Chapter 2 Verse 228]
